Wedding
Music
Music is the soul of
you wedding. Your wedding music during the church
ceremony and wedding ceremony creates the atmosphere of the wedding.
Baring this in mind select your music very carefully.
Hints
on planning for your wedding music:
1) Ensure that the
music service provider that you select is registered at the Southern
African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO).
All DJ's must register with SAMRO to give them the right to play
music at public events.
2) Very important is
to get references and follow them up because there is a lot of
people out there play music part time which doesn't have enough
experience to play at wedding. Also ask the service provider to
give a demonstration. A demonstration can go a long way in giving
you peace of mind regarding the music at your wedding.
3) Ensure that the
service provider can provide a microphone for the speeches at
the wedding.
At the ceremony:
4) Remember to supply
the DJ with food and drinks.
5) Ask the master of
ceremony to test the sound beforehand to ensure that the volume
is at the correct level.
6) Clarify your quotation
and make sure if the time after midnight is included in the price
or if you will have to pay extra for it.
If the dancing and
wedding music is very important to you, you can book a DJ that
is registered at the South African Disc Jockey Association (SADJA).
